sihayadesigns: (star wars - han omg!)
The Good:
-- Got offered $100 to take good notes for Astronomy class. It covers all my health center charges. Woo.
-- I finally learned all the correct steps to the musical numbers.
-- Sold $70 worth of BPAL to fund my Chaste Moon order. It's exciting, almost like I'm making an order for free, which is good because I don't particularly have a lot of money. Woo for me finding new ways to fund the addiction. :)
-- Dr. Mary presentation went serviceably well this morning. Cultural Materialism & New Historicism crit is a terrible bore, but Heather and I pulled a reasonably interesting hour-long presentation together in a little under three hours.
-- NO MORE AM PILATES. And the choirs of angels said Amen. Today, I got stuck in an upside-down stretch and when I tried to laugh, I instead snorted because there was no air in my lungs.
-- Ordered two books from Amazon today for $8, shipping included. I love their used book network.
-- Have decided on a senior sem topic. I will be writing on the role of metaphysical elements in coming-of-age stories. I'm looking to write on Francesca Lia Block and two other authors that will be named sooner or later. Suggestions welcomed. I'd like to steer clear on retellings of fairy tales, however.
-- Lush's Angels on Bare Skin is a wonderful facial cleanser. I tried a sample today, and I'm going to try to acquire more.
-- I'm doing really well in all of my classes.
-- Quando Men Vo has a decent shot of sounding good.
-- We're doing fun music in Madrigals -- Spanish, Arabic, Twi (Ghanian), Old English, German. There's lots of variation. Singing in Arabic is gorgeous.
-- After the show, I want to work on re-writing a few short stories that I'd written in the past. They're interesting, but the writing could be much much stronger.
-- My new coffee maker is awesome. It brews directly into a travel mug, so I can have fresh coffee in the morning without hassling with a pot. Neat.
-- I can get a decent amount of sleep in two weeks.
-- My bed is two feet away.

The Bad:
-- I've been a walking zombie. It's gonna take a crowbar to get me out of bed in the morning.
-- I am woefully behind on correspondence. Woefully.
-- Vintage Italian leather heels, while gorgeous to look at, are very painful to dance in.
-- Margie scheduled three Madrigals performances during Tech Week. I had to back out of one, but I have to make the others, as I am the only soprano who will be present that has a lock on the music. I have to miss a class to do one, which absolutely does not make me happy at all.
-- I have to figure out when the math proficiency thing is so I can brush up and pass it. God, I hate math.
-- I ate horribly today. I'd really been doing much better. Still, the buttered noodles called to me. They crooned my name sweetly. I buckled under the pressure.
-- Lindsey almost killed our stage manager, Carrie, tonight. Instead of tossing the spear to me, she accidentally launched it into the front row. Eeep.
-- I miss my Annabean. I miss being able to keep up with my flist, for that matter.
-- I've been having really weird, frightening, intense dreams. I'm sure they mean something, I'm just not sure what.
-- I have the sniffles. Just give me two weeks and I will succumb to viral misery. Until then, it's vitamin C + zinc all the way.
