The Wantses

Last night, J and I were talking about color scheme/painting the new apartment, as that's going to inform everything, straight down to dishes and towels. I know it will likely be a few months until we paint and likely MUCH longer than that before we have everything decorated and coordinated... but I think we're going for a bright, fresh botanical feel with bright spring green or avocado green accent walls (like the first two photos below), and probably some lighter greens that are not quite pastel. We mix that in with creams, dark brown, and wood furniture, and it will probably look quite nice. All of this is preliminary, of course.

We're doing our registry at Target since a lot of the stuff we need is very basic... towels, dishes, silverware, a few kitchen odds and ends. We'll be purchasing a couch, a coffee table, maybe a kitchen table, and an armchair ourselves. Plus a new mattress.

So this post isn't so much about things we need, more that things are 'wantses'... to be mulled over once the basics are done, and that could take awhile. Here are some of the decor ideas I had (believe it or not, the Faerie Door is on J's insistence!).
