You know, if you'd have asked me that a year ago, I think I would have said Earth. I'm an Earth sign, after all. And I have a lot of the qualities that are attributed to Earth signs. But now? I think the element I feel most drawn to is Fire, for the reasons I mentioned yesterday. To add to that, I've seen time and again things that I thought were "torched" in my own life really were just burning to cleanse, so that new things could grow. I don't feel like elemental work is particularly a focus of my spirituality, but I guess right now, I'm going with Fire.
4. A favorite deity or archetype you use in your spiritual work.
Being a soft polytheist, most of the time I just go with "Goddess" and "God," though on occasion I have been known to get more specific. I have a small altar to Bast that I keep, but that's more "you are honored and welcome in my home"-- I never call on her in ritual except for when I'm lighting candles for Olive. In the past, I have done Aphrodite-centric rituals and Hecate-centric rituals. But, like I said-- full-fledged ritual is a pretty rare thing for me. There are a few archetypes I use when calling upon a newer path to me, but again. Filtered stuff, and not necessarily stuff I feel like I should share.
