Repair me, please.
Oct. 7th, 2004 02:44 pmI had to give Scout a salt bath while I sterilized his entire bowl with boiling saltwater today. He's got columnaris again, due to his infamous habit of digging under his marbles. When I woke up this morning, I looked him over-- he'd been less active, and his fins had been clamped for the last two days, and so I'd been changing his water every three days and keeping his water meticulously clean. So, this morning, he had white fuzz, and when I looked closer, some of his scales had actually fallen away. Eugh. His back fin is an absolute travesty. And so, into the salt he went, I scrubbed everything down, and he's marinating in some JFE right now. He's sulking. Honestly, I'm worried about him. Not to mention that Sushi's started biting again and Ivan snagged his tail on his very dull plant at some point in the night. Sometimes I guess even the best care can't help things like this.
I took my shoes down to the shoe repair shop-- $30 to fix both my heels and my boots, which I guess is good. However, the boots may take up to 2 weeks to be fixed. It's just a faulty zipper. Oy.
On the upside, Chris gave my computer a temporary reprieve. He popped out the harddrive, then popped it back in. It's up, and I'm crossing my fingers. Just 8 more months, Lucy. It's all I'm asking.
