Scout update: His columnaris is worse. The scales in the infected spots are being pushed up. I'm at a loss. Last time he had columnaris, it was a very mild thing, and one dosage of JFE killed the fungus. This time, he's been fully medicated, and in only 24 hours, he looks awful. On the upside, he's more active today than he was yesterday, and some of his color has returned. I don't know what to do other than what I've been doing, and it doesn't seem to be helping. Poor boy.


And my computer is restarting again. Ugggh.

Anyway, to keep my brain occupied: linkage.

What kind of water do you have him in? Ours in only in spring water, since hard water can affect them.

He's in treated tap water. Our ph balance is at an even 7.0 (I test it fairly often), and then I add stress coat and aquarium salt to remove chlorine and keep bacteria at bay.

Whoa! That's a lot of work. We just pop him into spring water, no additives or testing. He's done just fine. Maybe he's overchemicaled?
