Things are a wee bit stressful here, chez Sihaya. Our carpet has been replaced, but now everything stinks. It still smells damp and a little moldy. To compound it, having a giant, very loud fan in our living room scared the bejesus out of the cats, and worsened Olive's already annoying incontinence into "I AM SCARED... therefore I must pee EVERYWHERE." It has been a handful dealing with it. We have Nature's Miracled everything to hell and back. Still, we *need* to steam clean this weekend. And to make matters worse... the damp got into our vacuum filter and mold grew there, so I had to order new filters from the website, and they won't be delivered until Monday.

I am in Virgo hell.

To add to that, I have had some unexpected expenses this week. Last week I actually spent a couple hundred dollars on myself. I bought a new dress for an upcoming wedding. I bought supplies to re-do my tribal bra. I spent a small amount on the BPAL update. I bought a new sword for dancing. At the time, looking at the budget I had, it seemed reasonable and timely. I knew the budget for this week would be tighter than usual, but I made a judgment call. A bad one, it seems. A few unexpected expenses, plus... that horse ride that I took last month? The charge finally came through. Today. I called three weeks ago, and they put a hold for the correct money on my account. I assumed everything was fine (silly me!) and I guess for whatever reason they never followed up until recently. I mean, there's 'things move slowly on the mountain,' and then there's this. Lesson learned: EVERYTHING paid for in rural areas gets paid cash from here on out. Because right now, there's a pitiful sum in my bank account, and I'm not even getting money from the metals shop this week-- with an update in a week and a half, I took the amount in silver chain in lieu of $$$.

Argh.

So. Stress. There's a little part of me that hopes my parents give me cash for my birthday. On the bright side... I did re-stock my fridge on Wednesday, all of my bills for the month are paid, and I got a sale this morning that will cover Monday's post office run. So it's not dire, just freaking annoying.

Jewelry: I have a billionty custom orders to work on. I am trying to work on them while still having the Halloween update ready to roll on Monday, Sept 26th. I have about 2/3rds of it done. I have some wirework to finish (about 10 planned items), but the 26th should work.

Kitties: Oh, Olive. She's a happy kitty, but if her fancy pants don't get here this week, I fear Jason might pop a blood vessel. She's not liking being cleaned once a day (we alternate dry shampoo and dips in the afeared sink), but what can you do? I cannot live in the smell of pee. Cannot. Will not. I've been making time for her at night though, after Jason goes to bed. I wrap her up in a towel and we cuddle on the couch for a while. She's soooooo happy. Last night, she squished her face into my face and put a paw around my neck. I almost died of cute.

Okay. Terra Firma today, then doing something that does not cost money with Anna tonight. Cleaning the carpets tomorrow. Doing the birthday rounds with J's parents and my own this weekend. Hoping that somewhere in there, there will be booze.

Oh, my... I'm so sympathetic! Mold is horrid!

Since I'm not there, I don't know what else to do for you besides pimp your shop again. ::zen hugs::

I have to say I loooove how great you are about Olive. Another journal friend of mine had a similar situation with their kitty and all they did was bitch and moan as if it was the kitty's fault. I hope the kittypants arrive soon!
