Thank you, everybody, for the birthday wishes! Had a low-key one. Dinners with family members, and Jason made me pancakes and got me a pumpkin spice latte.

-- Carpets have been cleaned and are now as clean as they were when we first moved in and they were new. Vaccum filter arrived. Carpets have been vaccuumed. HAPPY VIRGO.

-- My mother in law gave me her spare coffee grinder for the whole bean coffee I got as a gift from zenmaster.

-- My tattoo appointment got bumped up to next Monday because Liaa left Britishink (as did everyone who was not the owner... take from THAT what you will). She's guest spotting at Rick's in Alexandria until Cynthia's shop opens next month, so I'll be getting my tattoo in Alexandria. Excited. Nervous. Excited.

-- Because of this, the Halloween update is likely to be Tuesday, Sept 27th. Unless I get done early, but I still have about 10 items to go plus custom work, so... idk.

-- Pin-up-y dress I got for an upcoming event looks AMAZEBALLS on me. Need it hemmed, but it is VERY Joan from Mad Men. It screams "hourglass, fuck yeah." I am happy.

-- I have most of the things for my care package swap-ee together. Will probably mail that next week.

-- Had good conversations with J this weekend. Productive ones. Optimistic ones.

-- Olive and I had a GREAT cuddle last night. She loves cuddling with me after J goes to bed. She is adorable.

-- Post office run! My local PO was closed for two days due to ongoing flood cleanups, so I missed a mailout day last week. Stuff's ready to rock now, though, so I gotta get going.

Okay, here's the thing. I kept telling myself it was your birthday. I remembered it was your birthday. And then I was traveling and away from a computer until 11.30pm. And then the internet was broken.

But the important thing is that you were on my mind all day yesterday. I hope you had an amazing day full of pampering and people telling you how awesome and right you are about everything. Because that's really the whole point, you know?
