None. Animals do not figure in my spiritual practices at all. I don't believe in the concept of ' the familiar,' and as much as I love my cats, you'll never hear me calling my cat a familiar. They're cats. Beloved cats, to be sure, but you know, not magical creatures, dontchaknow. I'm also not on a shamanic path, so I don't do any kind of journeying to find a totem animal at all. There are animals I see as symbols for Deities (the owl = Athena, a stag = Cernunnos, etc), but I don't identify with them. The concept of identifying with an animal itself (as opposed to the symbol/idea it's come to represent) is entirely foreign to me.
