sihayadesignsI'd been feeling kinda schlubby of late, what with the working 24/7 thing, and never really having any particular reason to not look like I just rolled out of bed. Not particularly good for my self esteem. So, I set aside a modest cash amount and went about fixing it.
First, I bought a new pair of shoes.
And then I brought a dress. Criteria: had to be warm enough to wear in Autumn. Bonus if it would look cute with sexy tights. Or work-safe tights, for that matter. The winner:
This one.
Aaaaaand, what cute legwear? So many options. I had grey cable-knit ones. Definitely more of a work look. Sheer black ones. Eeeeh, sexy, but not quite enough. Spiderweb ones. Saving them for Halloween. And then...
Theeeeese ones.
Add a black corset-belt, and bam. Very cute combo.
On Halloween, I plan to switch to spiderweb tights plus this hat:
Add a swipe of purple lipstick, and I'm gonna be the cutest witch in Pikesville.
As a side note, I have noticed SO MANY people with pink hair lately. Celebs all over the place. J and I had date day in White Marsh on Sunday, and I noticed no fewer than four other people on The Avenue with significant parts of their hair dyed pink. For once, I'm actually on-trend! Totally by accident, as I've had pink hair on and off since college, but still. :)

You hear it all the time, treat yourself like you're something of value, something worth showing off, and you'll feel like it. Still, I'm amazed how easy it is to let it slip and how good it feels not to.
