Number of clubs visited: 2 (Sonar & Hammerjacks).
Number of times accosted at said clubs: I lost track.
Number of drinks had (total): 6 (2 martinis, 1 cosmo, 1 margarita, 1 blue hawaiian, 1 strawberry daquiri).
Number of family gatherings attended: 2.
Number of birthday cakes: 2.
Number of bottles of alcohol given: 3.5 (tequila, citrus vodka, red wine, + 6 minis).
Number of shotglasses aquired: 7 (plus a fun drink mixy-kit and margarita mix).
Number of times I vomited: 0. Rock. On.

Okay, so the birthday went well. I managed to stay upright in high heels and hold my liquor, so all things considered, I'm a happy camper.

I started the day with a cosmo from Aster when I got off-duty at about 2am, then slept. Lunch with dad came at 12, and he made a hell of a meal-- teryaki chicken and steak with salads, grilled zucchini with parmesan and spices, and cooked greens. My dad is an awesome cook-- something he didn't exactly pass down to me, and the man knows how to marinade some meat. It was soooooooo good.

Dinner with my mom, stepdad, siblings, and cousins was at 4, Outback Steakhouse. Add another 7 oz. filet mignon to my already-full belly, plus the margarita and the daquiri. Oh, and the Outback bread. Best bread ever. I almost popped, I tell you. Mom & Adrian gave me a pretty little opal slice necklace, and I got lots of fun fall-smelling candles. And of course, the waitstaff singled me out and sang happy birthday, delivering an ice cream cake.

Back at the Redhead Brigade apartment, we all took time getting ready. I wore a plunge-neck assymetrical black dress and heels-- we all looked quite hot. Sonar turned out not to be our bag so much even though the Chambord martinis were amazing -- I was way over-dressed for drum & bass, plus it's not really my thing -- so Rac, Heather, Mike , AJ & I went over to Hammerjacks where Mike's friends Missy, Melissa, and Eric were already partying. For $15, you drink all night. This is good to remember. It was fun there if not a bit grody-- it was a sea of hands, and Rachel and I were constantly pushing them off. Ok-- perfect stranger? Yes, you can dance with me. I draw the line at foreplay. Funny how strange men just walk away when they figure out that you're not going to let them grope you.

Mike and I danced a bit, and by then, I was a bit woozy. Not wanting to get sick, I finished the final blue hawaiian and danced from then on out. Heather, Rac, and I kind of danced inbetween Mike, AJ, and Eric-- better it's strange people we know, you know? After witnessing about 4 fights break out right in front of Mike's car when the club emptied, we were off. I called my mom to let her know everything was okay, and my car-mates remarked on my remarkable temporary sobriety.

Eric was far too blitzed to drive home, and so we had to drive out to Laurel to make sure he got where he was going okay, and that was an adventure of the vomitous kind. It's supposed to be me puking on my 21st birthday, right? All and all, Heather & Rachel were just glad that he did't actually puke in the car, so that was good enough. I slept on the ride home to Westminster-- we got in at 4am.

Mike & I slept until about 12:30, and then Heather, Rac, & I all piled into Rac's bed to watch Harry Potter. Yep. Michael then made a huge breakfast of eggs, bacon, and maple syrup sausage and served it to us in bed. Lovin' lovin' lovin'... another nap... and here I am. Perfectly sober. But still kinda tired. I survived!

Glad to see you survived. Having been raised as a Mormon, I never acquired an interest in drinking at all, so my 21st birthday was rather tame and boring. The no drugs and alcohal are the only things that stuck with me since I became Pagan. Everything else went out the window :)

Still, I'm happy you had a good time. I'm a bit envious sometimes of those that drink. But I don't dare.

Happy birthday again!

*snicker*

Of course the truth will be when we next hear from Chris after the adrenalize/booze/caffeine/excitement from the weekend wears off. I bet she's passed out somewhere asleep out of pure exhaustion coupled with a lingering hangover. :)
