A little of both. When I do do small bits of ritual, I do it there. Mostly I only do serious rituals for Beltane and Samhain, but it functions year-round as a seasonal focal-point and as a charging/offering plate.
It's beautiful! I did a floating apple candle thing this year. I always equate Mabon with apples. Once I get the pics off my camera I'll LJ them to share.
