When doing vocal warm-ups, sometimes I get so locked into a pattern of visualization that I absolutely forget where I am in the scale. I was getting pretty high, but I still had about three more reps left in me when Kyle stopped and just stared at me.

I'd hit an F. As in the one above the staff. As in the one in the Queen of the Night aria. And it felt so easy.

She then proceeded to call me a freak and tell me there would be no more warm-up because I was weirding her out. :)

Thanks. Mucha is one of my absolute all-time favorite artists. I can't resist icons of his work.

Yes. An F is an accomplishment worth being proud of. I think I can hit a middle-C. LOL

I am always in awe of anyone who can hit such high notes with strength. Being an alto it is something I will never accomplish!

None, yet. I've only been training for about 9 years and I'm still technically a light lyric soprano possibly headed for spinto. I'm going to start working on high-range pieces, as long as they're not Handel! :)

That's more of a voice frequency thing than a highness thing, strangely. So no.

Not if you do it healthily.

For a second, I debtaed with myself whether or not "healthily" was a real word. I don't know why. It's obviously a real word.

Or IS it??
