Ups, downs, ins and outs.
Oct. 26th, 2004 11:17 amNumbered posts are easier on my brain today.
1. Not only is tomorrow the BPAL Lunar Oil order day and the full moon, there will also be a full lunar eclipse in the area, right about the time that I will be doing my last round. Exciting!
2a. I hate the bursar's office. My mother set up an agreement before the school year began to pay my tuition in three installments of about $350. They happily took the first payment, and the second was to be due at the end of October. Well, I called up to tell her that I have a bursar's block, and I needed to register next week. Apparently, the office had discontinued payment plans without telling her, and they told her that if she couldn't give them $600 by Friday, I don't get to register for my last semester of classes. The only way to fix this was to apply my RA paycheck directly to my tuition account. No more paychecks for me.
2b. This isn't as bad as it seems, though. My mom decided that as a trade-off, she'll be opening a Bank of America account in my name on Friday and transferring $100 into it, weekly. The $400 a month will cover my $300 lost paycheck and the $100/month for groceries we decided on after she discontinued my meal plan.
3. Stephanie decided to come into work today, so I'm not working. I'm also not working on Friday because I have to go home for the wedding, but I'm not so much worried about that. But honestly? If you have a worker who has to let you know weekly wether or not she can come in on her assigned day, it's better to assign someone else to that day. Because I came in expecting to work a job that was already covered, but Kyle didn't have the chance to tell me any earlier. Bah. I want the hours, man. Christmas is coming.
4. Since it's too late for me to put in any Christmas BPAL orders and have them come by the time I'll be leaving for break, I might do Lush instead. I've been meaning to try Potion, anyway.
5. I had a five, I swear I did. God, my head hurts.
6. Aha! So, that D I got on the presentation? I wrote a paper the week earlier on the same topic, using the same article as one of my sources. I got back the paper yesterday. With an A on it. Someone please explain this to me in kindergarten terms. Really.
7. I owe myself coffee. I'm gonna go do that.
8. God, I just found out I have an inservice tonight. Class until 6pm, then a two hour inservice. Someone shoot me, please?

Date: 2004-10-26 08:35 am (UTC)Since my truck died today (alternator) and I'm generally grumpy, how about you shoot me first, and then I'll shoot you with my last ounce of energy?
Coffee. Mmmmm, damn, I need to buy more.
re: the presentation. Some profs just DO NOT get it.
