Hey. I know this already sold, so yay! but I just wanted to check if there's something I'm missing with the calling it a Redwood leaf. Is that a company or process name, since it's obviously not a leaf from any sort of redwood tree? Because with the exception of a variety of unrelated redwood that is extinct in the wild and also not shaped like the leaf in the photo, redwood trees are conifers and would be all spikey if dipped. Just wondering if there's something else it could be? It's a really awesome necklace, by the way.

I bought these two at the giant redwood forest just outside of San Francisco, CA. Considering I didn't have any paperwork to go with, I assumed they'd be redwood. My memory could just be old, though.

The assumption makes total sense, and it's possible they didn't label the specific leaf when you got them anyway. It makes sense that they would sell redwood leaves there, and dipped redwood leaves exist, but they looks like dipped pine needles, sort of. I can see where there would be confusion. I think, though I won't swear, that yours are really gorgeous (sugar?) maple leaves. They are fantabulous looking, though.
