Spent my afternoon/evening completing two commissions, and getting halfway through a third. This week is to be fairly busy-- tomorrow is order packing and shipping, and finishing a few more commissions. Rinse and repeat throughout the week. My aim is to have all commissions older than two weeks shipped out by Friday, so I can insure receipt before I leave for TribOriginal. I gotta say, having a steady stream of work is kind of nice.

Have also been watching the BBC's 'Robin Hood' which is fun in a 'suspend your disbelief and prepare for a parade of tropes' sort of way. Everyone's really pretty. Anachronism is sly. Etc. I will say one thing-- I don't get much chemistry between Robin and Marian. They have good friend chemistry that borders on sibling, but the only time I am sufficiently interested in a romantic plot is Gisborne/Marian. Which... okay, he's dastardly and terrible and no one should ever date him ever because hello... evil murderer, but it does hit the kinky part of my brain that's all 'oooh, powerplay.' And Richard Armitage does the smoldering stare like none other.

Anyhow. Going to bed now. Before 1 am. Imagine that!

Question- I have somebody who favorited me on Etsy as a secret admirer, and you keep your favorites private, so I was wondering if that was you. If not, I guess it will just remain a mystery!

On "Robin Hood": Yes. I agree.

And on Richard Armitage, have you seen North and South?

I started watching BBC's 'Robin Hood' just before I moved. It was good fun though lots of eyebrow furrowing/raisnig i.e. 'uh, yeah, right, okay.' Gisborne is evil but sort of sexy evil. I'm sure I can YouTube an episode or 5.

The problem with Robin Hoodie, right, is that there are several points in the first episode where myself and [livejournal.com profile] kimble kept expecting the cast of Monty Python to pop up and sing songs from Spamalot. To the point where we inserted the songs ourselves. XD

There was more chemistry between her and Guy. I would be perfectly fine with her choosing him over Robin Hood, and it's not supposed to be like that! I'm assuming you are on Season 1? Season 2 just aired on BBC America and I will say that the tension between the two of them gets stronger. And it's cheesy as hell sometimes, but then I think it is meant to be. The Beeb are good at that low budget sci-fi/fantasy thing. There's a show on BBC America right now called Primeval which requires the "suspend your disbelief" mindset as well, but it's full of rather attractive people and dinosaurs, and I mean, who can complain about that combo?
