First of all, a very happy birthday to one of the best men who has ever come into my life, my sweet and adorkable boyfriend, Jason. We began today with an extended cuddle. We're doing dinner at home: steaks, asparagus, scalloped potatoes, and something diabetic-friendly that I can stick a candle in for dessert.

Last night, we went out for drinks with Shaun, and as it turns out, they knew each other a little in high school. They bonded over a shared crush, and then Jenny called and said she'd had a crush on J in high school, and then I realized my love life is too incestuous for words sometimes. Or just extremely serendipitous. Who knows.

Ohhhkay. Much to do today, then I have to figure out what I'm wearing at faire tomorrow. Probably something a little more simple, as I'll be getting ready at J's and honestly, I'm not in the mood to fuss a lot. Maybe I'll sew my new beaded medallions onto my burgundy belt-- I actually found a matched set in good condition where the primary color is not blue. Yay.

I met them all independently, post-college. How weird is that that they just all happened to go to high school together?
