The end of an error, indeed. I doubt the human race could've fared worse if Gaius frakking Baltar were president for the last eight years.

Goodbye, President Bush. I feel like I should feel more vindicated, but your obvious weariness and befuddlement just makes me sad.

I think it's a bit more than that. "Criminally negligent" also springs to mind.

I'd like to throw in "war crimes" too.

I do want to see him again, though.

In the Hague.

We'd be better off with Baltar - at least he believed in science.

It's pretty sad when a fictional character is preferable to reality.

At least Gaius was handsome, intelligent, and could speak well.

This is our last night falling asleep in Bush's America. *glee*

I find myself looking at Obama as another Kennedy (but without the womanizing). He seems to have a noticeable nobleness of spirit and intelligence that has not been seen in a long time. Sure Clinton was smart, but noble? No. And Bush could hardly be called either.

I like Obama's message that we all need to chip in and help fix things, that everyone's effort is important and needed.

I look forward to see what Obama can do.

Looking back, I wonder what things would have been like under Gore as president. I liked his views on technology and the environment.

That's my feeling, too. I want to be more angry personally at him (like I am MANY members of his cabinet), but he seems so bewildered that it feels like being mad at...a child or an animal or someone who's mentally incompetent. I think I'm more angry at people who "wanted a President they could imagine drinking beer with," and thus voted him in for two terms.

It's been a loooong eight years. I have just never really been able to watch him during a press conference or address...the man simply cannot formulate a sentence, much less a coherent thought. It would not surprise me in the least if he was still into the nose candy.

When Obama speaks, I am riveted and literally stop whatever I am doing. He is beyond eloquent.

I always thought Laura Roslin would make a good preseident. Anyway....

I've been all 'DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS!' all morning. I may be the most excited person in the Czech Republic save the old hippie/bohemians who came in 1992.
