Apartment update: we saw the 1 br + den model at the Brittany in Pikesville today. It is currently going full standard renovation prior to being leased to new residents. While there were doors and shelving units all piled on the carpet, fresh paint was being applied and the appliances were being checked over. It looks a bit a mess right now, but will be completely done by the time we move in. Which should be the first week of July. Very spacious, a nice, clean little community, and my studio will overlook the pool area, which gets great light. So, there's that.
Also, this morning I stopped in the 7-11 on the corner for some coffee. I used to stop by that particular 7-11 fairly often, as I'd get coffee to warm my hands on the way to work maybe two or three times a week. The girl who works the morning shift has always been pleasant to me. When I walked in, she said "Hi! It's been a long time since I've seen you. I was worried." I explained that I'd been in NM and would likely be living just around the corner very soon. "That's great," she said. "I'm glad you are okay."
Such a little thing, really, but it honestly made my day.
