Page family snuggle time

J & I got up at the literal crack of dawn to see the sun rise over the beach. So pretty-- big atomic pink sun over turquoise water.

Trudged back home with the aim of throwing on our swimsuits and going back out because the water was bath-warm. Instead, we fell asleep cuddled up, with my head on his chest. When we woke back up, both Squeaky and Olive were also on his chest, and Olive was licking Squeaky's face. Not to be outdone, Squeaky turned around and started licking our faces. My nose is actually a little sore because a sandpapery kitty tongue is a little rough when applied to the nostrils.

It's amazing how the addition of two little furballs has really made us into a family.

Now, for for french toast, then back to the beach.

The nice thing about the west coast is that you don't HAVE to get up before the ass-crack of dawn to see the "sun + water = AWESOME" phenomenon. :)
