Low key Yule/Christmas at home. Matt is with his girlfriend, and so Jason & I are playing festive music and pigging out and cuddling the cats. We got up this morning and after I made raspberry chocolate chip pancakes, we headed out to Valley View Farms to look at their decorations and get in the holiday spirit, as I have been seriously lacking the Yuletide glow this year. We ended up picking up a few cute little wintery birdies, as well as two snowy owls for our tree. We also found a Pennsylvania Dutch farmer's market, and spent way more money than we should have on organic meats, carmel apple walnut pie, candles, and cheese. And that was without me even setting eyes upon the chocolate stand. That place is amazing and we are certain to make it a regular visiting spot.
Came home, had some dinner. Jason's playing Skyrim with Bean in his lap, and I still have some of his gifts to wrap and then we're going to settle down with Love Actually. I am so ready for Keira Knightley's amazing jawline, we need Kate & Leo and we need them now, adorable pre-adolescent declarations of love, and Hugh Grant & Colin Firth playing themselves (again). Plus Colin. Colin. Who never fails to make me laugh like a moron.
Thank you so much to everyone who sent cards this year-- under the cut, I put up a picture of my card wall. I know I was a little overextended this year and didn't manage to get cards of my own out, so it means a lot that I was in your thoughts.
Happy Holidays to you and yours.
