Eyes: Aromaleigh in Re-Gifted (gold), Darcelle (darker olivine), Aloe (light green) and Amarante (dark leaf green).
Lips: Stila lipstick in Ava. Note: this is actually a very sheer wine in-person. I don't know why it photographed so coral-y-- maybe the natural light hit it in a weird way?

In the end, I decided it was way too much for daytime.
I took off the lipstick and toned down the eyes a bit.
I'm not really a lipstick person, really, except for special occasions.

Aside from that... I got up early this morning and did a bike ride. It was a good, energetic way to start the day. I got packagepalooza in the mail (though, sadly, not the one package I've been waiting a month for). And I've been working, which I'll continue to do until J and I have a movie date tonight.

Very pretty! Do you use a base/primer on your lids first? something to help with staying power?

I swear by Urban Decay Primer Potion. It is AWESOME.

No, I don't think so? I just take one wand swipe on each lid, then rub it in with my finger so that it's blended in/colorless.

That is weird. I have really oily eyelids (heh) and UDPP is the only thing I've ever used where my eyeshadow hasn't creased all up. Of course, some brands of shadow are gonna crease no matter what you do, but those are usually drugstore brands.

That's not too much for daytime for me, except sadly I can't wear that at work. Paired with a brown, though, I might be able to get away with it.

[livejournal.com profile] confusednazgul Try Too Faced Shadow Insurance if Urban Decay Primer Potion doesn't work out for you. The packaging is more practical. I would say if you have drier skin, that might work better, but I have oily eyelids as well and both products are great.

Pretty colours!

I'm so boring with my makeup these days. It's just so easy to go for the safe, swift option, but I think you've inspired me to gild my eyes tomorrow and be a bit less utilitarian about it :p

That is amazing. You're a really beautiful woman, and I love the palette you chose. I am now wanting some gold eyeshadow!

(It's also really nifty to see one of your leaf necklaces being worn.)
